Take it Back

by Trisha De Gracia

As for stars and dreams
we hold our breaths collectively
in hopes of a rising sun tomorrow...

I long to tear into my flesh
and pull it out.
The fear is there
collapsing cells
spurring my breath
creating a murderous monster in me
that wants to destroy my own parts.

When the terror is gone
and the stares subside
and the the inwardly directed anger
boils down to helpless insecurity
the only thing that's left in me
is yet to be determined.

You'll make it, you're not alone.

Well, if there is a cause, it will have its effect, obviously, this is always subject to the laws.

A monster I know all too well, and still struggle to tame. Well expressed!
