It's There (We Can Find It)

by J. P. Davies

There's a world, I believe,
where the wind-swept angels
will take you into their arms.

Carry you and sing softly
until all your pain is gone.

On sunswept terraces, wending
free upon breezes of laughter,
they will welcome you as one
of their own brethren.

Most believe this place,
comes at the end of life.
But I know it's here,
I can feel it.

It's in every smile,
in every tear you cry.
Just a step beyond your reach,
take my hand and we'll search.
Search until we find it.
It does exist,
I know it.

Author's Note: I'm waiting for a day when all our prejudices will be washed clear. And every life is celebrated for the beauty it holds. We all need to be angels. We need to support each other, no matter sex, age, race, sexuality. We need to be so much more. I have to believe in this world.

Nirvana? Heaven? The Zone? All labels for what you so aptly describe.

It does in the positive responses. Both ways. A beautiful poem vibrating with life. Prolife.
