agitated diction by J. P. Davies
some silences are filled,
too soon with agitated diction
Stop talking when you
Have nothing to say
Under the tension lies
Tangled contact lines.
Unique devices which
Precipitate vulnerability
some spaces between words
that are relinquished,
are the moments of sadness,
where I'm trying to say,
everything at once.
and languishing
here in your vocals

Posted by Ashok Sharda on 03/30/04 at 05:34 PM This is a wonderful piece J.P. We become more vulnerable projecting what we are trying to hide apart from being carried away by thoughts rather than thinking. It thinks us rather than we thinking. The INTENDED SELF is lost in the process. |
Posted by Leslie Ann Eisenberg on 03/31/04 at 06:42 PM ahh, tangled elocution...whatever happened to the pregnant pause.....some spaces between words
that are relinquished,
are the moments of sadness,
where I'm trying to say,
everything at once... someone close to me is like this too, too busy filling the empty space to give me a moment to breather or express myself, to really listen. it makes me wonder what terrible thing would happen to them if they allowed the quiet? |
