Purposeful Thoughts
by Maureen Glaudesex was designed to be pleasurable
so mankind would procreate and bond
food was designed to be palatable
so mankind would eat to self-sustain and grow
poetry was designed to be pivotal
so mankind could praise, lament
and strive to comprehend, with his fellows
the act of being here
on his journey to eternity
