Not This One by Maureen GlaudeA chickadee flies down from her nest
to try for a tempting moth
who barely escapes her beak
she gets over it fast and
flies home to hunger for the future 06/10/2003 Posted on 03/13/2004 Copyright © 2024 Maureen Glaude

Posted by Quentin S Clingerman on 03/15/04 at 02:33 AM A kind of parable here. A fresh way of saying, "you can't win them all." Or "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again." Or don't look back at failure but look ahead for success.
Succinct and expressive. |
