My Entries - Tadpole Circle Four Seasons Contest (repost)

by Maureen Glaude

Spring

high March river
the runaway dock-
Tom Sawyer’s raft

Summer

pesky moth
indoors last night -
today's dead butterfly

Fall

over the leaf pile
a bare branch hangs
rake-shaped

Winter

the black cat
silently trespasses
on night snow

Excellent imagery, you catch the atmosphere of each season succinctly with unique analogies.

Highly vivid and evocative Reen. Truly excellent reading and congratulations once again.
