sunswallowmoon (birthchild). by Andrew S Adamsenter the beautiful chaos of the shattered window;
these lobes of braincells and crystal,
return me to the chrysalis; return me
to the womb. i remember a place where
you and i were born, it was day.
the moon is at odds with the sun again-
they differ as night and day would.
this is normal, yet these starcrossed lovers,
they are destined to exist together.
they are to become one
at one point or another.
this marriage of stars and sky,
earth and sun,
moon and night,
this is a brilliant orgy to which
we are all a party.
these walls that separate our rooms,
will be removed once in a great while.
the sun will envelop the moon, and for
a brief moment, their child is born.
we are a product.
and as we lay on the pavement,
the brilliance of the shine from
the shattered window is blinding.
as you and i lay together,
we note the sky and breathe in the
haze, the night, the day,
the eclipse. 03/02/2004 Author's Note: vaguely inspired by richard paez's "i never meant to (stop)"... at least, the carcrash segments, anyhow.
