umbrella (far beyond). by Andrew S Adamsmarching on, these
tiny footsteps are kicking up dust,
creating a dense fog.
the sky with it's gaze,
notes the proceedings with great interest.
this is the beginning of
the end of the beginning.
as the raindrops tap lightly on the pavement,
a streetlight attracts the attention of the eve;
where the darkened spirits and the cast out
collect themselves, hoping for shelter.
the raindrops coming heavy
are a cascade of
falling towers- a beautiful terrorism.
search for the roof overhead,
and pray that this will not reach you.
god forbid, you should be cleansed.
the streetlight is a memory as the
dense rain has replaced the dense fog
and the flood rises to meet the skyline.
the answers lie somewhere far beyond the atmosphere. 03/01/2004 Posted on 03/01/2004 Copyright © 2025 Andrew S Adams
