Moon Drenched Molly

by Max Bouillet

Moon drenched Molly
sings to Christ
her lips fresh from prayer.
She paints neon pink hearts to God
with an imaginary brush
and spins and spins
until she falls
and the world twirls
through love struck eyes
to the God that keeps
her warm.

Author's Note: This is a tribute to a little girl who knows more about the true nature of God than any adult I have spoken to.

"And a child shall lead them." A sweet and tender tribute to the faith of a child. Jesus said we all must be as little children to enter the Kingdom of God.

isn't that incredible... vivid imagery laces this incredible truth, spoken in rapid tongue... one time i accompanied my husband and his family to church and watched as my then 2 year old daughter twirled and swirled down near the bottom of the stage with the other children... for this i smiled and for this, i read faith-based stories to my knowledge hungry 4 year old... and for this little bit of heaven that you have written, i am smiling... brilliant in form and manner... blessings...

The unconditioned innocence it seems is what can metamorphose into what the innocent believes in.You stressed this point so beautifully

Touching tribute, Max. Thank God for the children in our lives... little windows to the sacred for sure. I get the feelings that she melted Max... and I applaud her... and you.
