stupidity is not bliss by Michele Schottelkorbcover ash trees in blood-kisses
homage paid to the greater good
the stand of vipers conquered
a small part of neonland
rise up to challenge the oblivious
stupidity does not equal ignorance
to know not is innocence
to see not is inexcusable
devour fluorescent droplets of shame
and excrete chains of hypocrisy
for in the realm of the unknown
truth is waiting for resurrection 02/21/2004 Author's Note: see through the neon facade...

Posted by Philip F De Pinto on 02/23/04 at 02:52 PM as I've alway suspected ignorance not to be blissful as say the bloody cliche makers but bloody brilliant, this fare of yours
whose word usage is telling
that you care not to employ them
in ways of ignorance, but in ways that reveal
where your eyes and heart and conscience have touched. |
Posted by Graeme Fielden on 02/26/04 at 03:51 PM a most insightful piece of writing Michele, rich in imagery, with a touch or the surreal...a nice combination indeed! well done! |
Posted by Ashok Sharda on 03/01/04 at 02:04 PM 'to know not is innocence
to see not is inexcusable' There's nothing I can add.'stupidity does not equal ignorance'You said it in definite terms. |
