Anne: slowdance. by Andrew S Adamswe wandered through a basement lined with memories
waiting to occur;
and there, sitting. watching film classics (names are not important),
we realize that these aren't the most special of events;
but these are special between us.
Sooner or later, you're going to have to catch me
because when i kiss you i get so dizzy i could fall
but when we slowdance, hand in hand and arms around
the drifting world is quietly breathing in a collection of
memories that we are writing on the walls. 02/15/2004 Author's Note: it's late, and i havent been writing much good lately. but i needed to write something about tonight.

Posted by Kara Hayostek on 02/15/04 at 06:41 AM This is so beautiful, really, it brings me back to the place where i was dancing with my man at Rula's wedding. you might be tired, and I might be drunk...but this is good stuff :-) |
Posted by Rula Shin on 02/17/04 at 08:41 PM Very beautiful poem, 'when we slowdance...the drifting world is quietly breathing in a collection of memories that we are writing on the walls." I love this line especially - how we leave our passionate energies as positive marks on this world. Personal moments between friends and lovers make all the difference in a day...in a world. Lovely read :-)
