Flicker

by Maureen Glaude

She flirts in flickers, fickle
and can vary her height
and length
she drips of sweet lines
kindling miniature glimmers of warm light
on dark nights

her skirt may be crimson, or the purest of whites
her figure can melt any man feeling trite

her wickedest habit? Going out with puffs of smoke
but in power outages and ice storms
her steady glow is no joke!

I really liked this...it made me feel all warm. I wish I was now watching that beautiful flicker you speak of :-)

A flicker and glow I can feel all the way on the other side of the city. :o)

A nice embodiment. And a beautiful characterization. Perfect.
