Riots Happen by J. P. Davies
When the rule of law
can't protect the populace,
from their own goverment.
It just might be time,
to take a stand.
To shout out a warning,
that this will not be
taken as the best course.
It could be the time,
to fight for your rights.
To say what you really want.
Or maybe you'll just sit
at home and watch...
As your countrymen
shake off the shackles
of corporate power.
And defend your economy.
Will you be afraid?
Or will you understand?
That sometimes desperate
times call for
drastic measures.
And as the tear gas
and pepper spray rain down,
we strive to regain control.
When the people are pushed
too far. Riots happen.
