Posted by Rula Shin on 01/30/04 at 07:59 PM Wow, this is such a great poem. Very simple but full of meaning. I really love how the last two lines relate directly to the title, "the weather of your words...[and] i haven't learned to dress in layers yet" - wonderful reference! I really like this :-)

Posted by Kathleen Wilson on 10/12/07 at 08:20 PM I love the "fickle"ness -- and the 'whether' (unsureness) implied in "weather"-- the linking of weather and words is especially rich and beautiful to me... and "layers" --another, both linguistic and seasonal reference as meanings, temperatures, and relationship unfolds. The kind of changing and adaptation, so hard to keep up with-- has a tangible, living quality here. |
