Nonsense (Abecedarian) by Maureen Glaudeapothecary markets medicine most
boys who marry early, boast
carrying out their duties well
dallying not too near to hell
eating British kippers'n toast
forgetfulness will burn the roast
glorious honeymoon, Riveria coast
has the bride on sand collecting shells
in sun she bakes by ocean swells
jeering seagulls play her host
Knight in armor assumes his post
Lady saved from turning ghost
Mer-Bleue way, she now bears bells
noisy enough to announce weak spells
oppressing her head, tingling her toes
placing her in risky throes
quai is quiet, at the foremost
return point of far farewells
scarves are waving, color of bluebells
taste of salt-brine tang of toast
Ulysses found, Ulysses lost
valiant films from Elwy Yost
waves to brave beside the dells
xylophone playing for Annabelle
yesterday began the frost
zero tolerance at all cost
