lost:found:downwardgaze. by Andrew S Adamsi was looking for you
but my searching
only led my eyes
to my shoes.
i dont know what i expected to find,
but all i noticed was the laces untied.
and, when i finally did
rip my gaze from the floor,
the face i found wasnt
yours anymore-
just a simple memory,
an image that i wanted so badly
that i couldnt face it-
like another photograph
lost somewhere behind a refridgerator
only to be rediscovered
once it's time to move on,
and the staring once again
is decidedly downward. 01/23/2004 Posted on 01/24/2004 Copyright © 2025 Andrew S Adams

Posted by Cole Miller on 01/24/04 at 05:29 AM I too have felt this way, you should just be my personal 'put coles feelings to words' boy. how does that sound. we can figure out a salary and everything. your words are just so much prettier than mine. the simple things you put in that make the deep things just stand out so much more. *sigh* |
