the second renaissance. by Andrew S Adamsflight- a composition of wings,
soul, ambition, and need-
these are the human.
da vinci once thought that man could fly-
his design was as much spirit as it was science.
to play god, we must defy him,
to learn to fly is blasphemy-
but this god is understanding, and
always knew that we would one day grow
discontent with feet;
that we would want to transcend this design.
Soon, we are off our feet, walking
with the agnostic; the atheist, the thinker.
we are
the agnostic
the atheist
the thinker.
if by chance we should gaze upon the archives of history,
we should ressurect these designs of defiance-
because the spirit was stirred long ago,
but the science everflawed, could be
awakened with new vigor-
and god would understand that this is just the adolescence-
nothing more than a phase in the progression of man. 01/14/2004 Posted on 01/15/2004 Copyright © 2025 Andrew S Adams
