Poet's Office Party*OR* Why Poets Shouldn't Drink
by Alex SmythMy friend, why are you sitting there,
Withdrawn, morose, subdued?
No friend of mine should be forlorn,
But *sparkle*, brightly hued!
I'll put icicles in your hair!
Drape tinsel on your clothes!
Hang shiney balls from both your ears
And ribbons on your nose!
Then stand you in the window
Framed for all the world to see!
Decked out in love and shining,
