Slow Time

by Stephanie Myers

Slow,
Slowly,
And even slower.

Hands of time are going backwards.
Back into time,
Time into travel,
Travel backwards into my creation.

The day I was born,
Born to this life,
This life goes backward.

Not forward.
Not backward.

Frozen in time.
Frozen forever.

Cased in ice,
Packed under Arctic Cold,
Frozen Tundra,
Filled with Sap.

Molasses,
Dripping frozen,
One drop at a time,
I watch as it takes an eternity,
For one drop,
To fall to the ground.

Stretching,
Reaching to the end,
Never reaching the end.

And even slower,
Slowly,
Slow.

Slow as it may be (sorry, couldn't resist that) this poem has great flow. Captivating concept and read; quite original!
