Quiet Christmas ghost by Sam RobertsWelcome to the land of silence,
throw your pearl shaped tear into the stream, frozen;
Green diamond eyes, writing with frost
Into the valley, for the still, snow whites
This is where the winter hides;
a spirit from the past laying a rug of bluebells
And dancing under spotlights, red and green
Where the children can sleep in the middle of the highway;
Little doves on rock-strewn pillows
Welcoming them to her tree house world
Painting white snowballs with her breath 12/07/2003 Author's Note: Re write of my first poem, Quiet ghost
