Meet You At The Top... by J. P. DaviesYour insecurities are written
in salt-driven channels, coursing.
Making me wonder why you can't see.
You, The most beautiful creation
are lost on yourself.
Your worth is beyond measure.
Never forget, I will always be here.
It saddens me to know it could never be.
Idealistic situations were never ours.
Happy, knowing you're out there...
Living the dreams.
Never look back...
I'm a support, not an anchor.
I'll meet you at the top.
This world isn't too big
for both of us to climb.
So keep a look out for me,
when you're sitting at the pinnacle.
I'm not far behind.
It's just easier to follow a path
that you know someone else
has walked it first. 12/06/2003 Author's Note: Just one of those poems that was struggling to get out...
