Someday

by Maureen Glaude

Wrapped and tempting, stretched along a winding coastal road
someday's distant promise of the villas and hills of
Italy waits
as I must

short, sweet and to the point. I've always wanted to see the cathedrals over in Europe, and the paintings and Greek statues.

hehe I too should be more passionate about the land of my ancestors, when all I want is to get back to Vancouver Island. A carefully worded reminder to all that some place or places call out to us, and perhaps even are patient for our arrival.

Takes me back to my whirlwind tour of Rome and Florence some years ago. Like you a return trip must wait! Your poem succinct but filled with desire of wanderlust!

This is beautiful Mo... as are the writer and recipient... *smiling* I love reading both of you wonderful women!
