child abuse, it's true by Michele Schottelkorbshe cries in the dark
so you cant see her fears
he laughs in the light
so you cant see his tears
endless games are played
in the silence of night
destroying innocence
commencing her fright
(wheres her will to fight?
he has taken her sight
her throat closes tight
with tenyearold might...)

Posted by Max Bouillet on 11/25/03 at 07:58 PM I think writing is an invaluable self-help technique. This verse brings a very important subject out into the open. I'll also send some hugs. |
Posted by Jean Mollett on 02/15/04 at 03:31 AM Hi Michele,
child abuse, it's true.
It's powerful alright and so sad it truely happens. Way to often. It would make anyone angry when they read or hear abuse this happening to a child. It does me. It should never ever happen anyone, any kind of abuse. Many blessings and lots of hugs to ya. |
Posted by Philip F De Pinto on 09/22/05 at 04:04 PM abuse of any sort is bad and ranks low on the rungs of a victim's ladder, but child abuse is the lowest of the rungs as your poem, Michele, lets be known. |
Posted by Mo Couts on 06/20/11 at 09:46 PM Hi Michele; I'm back and I appreciate you writing this after reading that folder. I have a folder of 'pain' related topics this time, too if you'd be interested in heading over! |
