sure cure

by Glenn Currier

a particle of fear

lodged in my vein

drank a cold beer

to avoid the pain.

a thrombus collected

down in my calf

felt disconnected

and needed a laugh.

so I read a journal

by a poet name jadi

and before nocturnal

I wasn't a frady.

Excellent verse and tribute to the philosophy master Jadi! Thanks for sharing and I hope that your scare is truly over.

Is it not amazing how we, in this community, can help each other through without realizing it? This is a wonderful poem in itself, but made even "sweeter" (as in "distilled into essence") by its tribute to Jadi.

Thank you for the kind and lighthearted words, Glenn. I am reminded the there is no illness that cannot be overcome with the proper mindset and it's comforting to know that so many share this view. I acknowledge your honor, but it is you who have championed the call. Pe4ce...
