your special star

by Michele Schottelkorb

sometimes people come into our lives

to show us a different way

it may be better, it may be worse

but either way youÂ’ll say:

“thank you, someone, for your light

for the blessings you had to give

thank you, someone, for your love

for this, my world can live”

and if these people have to go

and can only stay in your heart

remember the lessons that they learned

they were there for you from the start

when the quiet seems too still

and your loneliness canÂ’t let go

remember there is a star thatÂ’s watching

just look above and youÂ’ll know

that everyday, in every way

your someone is never far

your someone; your life-force

is your very special starÂ…

Author's Note: i wrote this for my step-daughter on july 31, 2003... it would have been her mother's 40th birthday... her mother passed away last year, today... this is for her and for all who have lost someone dear to you... remember, they are your special star...

A sentimental but very warm remembrance. Surely, those whom we have loved, remain with us in a very special way.

A very sweet and touching gift to all of us!

your someone; your life-force is your very special star… a beautiful tribute. And well, 'someone' is what matters in life than 'nobody's'. They leave everlasting impression.

out of your pen's heart is conjured the warmth of this tribute.
