Ms. Sugarsnatch (Ode to Ariel Mackin)

by Aaron Howard

Curly hair abound.. your brown halo proceeds youÂ…
A smile wider than your face envelopes me in laughter..
A glint in your eye that reminds me of a thousand starsÂ…
You lighten up mi life like the sun in the strawberry patch..
I love you.. Ms. Sugersnatch..
YouÂ’ve been my friend since the beginning of an end..
And you have dispersed kind words and hugs when I needed them most..
YouÂ’ve been one of the few, that IÂ’ve considered close..
You put a smile on my face every time I think of you..
You remind me of bad times that weÂ’ve been through..
You remind me of all the good parts of myself..
You remind me that IÂ’m not really alone, as long as I know you..
YouÂ’ve wandered into my heart, slow like honey..
Making this bitterness into a sweet and sour concoction..
You remind me of the best things in life, Ms. Sugersnatch.

Author's Note: I wrote this for her.. she's been one of my best friends for years now.. and I thought I would just show a little gratitude.. and if you wanna know about the whole Sugersnatch thing, you might wanna ask her.. =) It's nothing like that...get your head outta the gutter!!!

*shucks*, my mind was totally in the gutter, now I'm dissapointed! LOL Kidding, not at all dissapointed, it's a beautiful tribute. My favorite line, in case you're wondering(LOL)..."You’ve been my friend since the beginning of an end", I LOVE that thought. :)
