A Mothers Love (My Grievance)

by Michelle Calhoun

Tiny hands, tiny feet
Forever in heaven, your destiny

To Love you, touch you, suckle you at my breast
I know now that my faith is being put to the test.

Did I pass? Do I fail?
Only the silence of time will tell.

For my baby I pray
Someday we will meet.
Until then, rest in Peace
As you lay at your makers feet.

With much Love from your Mother

Author's Note: On September 24, 2003, Adrian and I experienced our 2nd miscarriage in 10 months. This time was longer. We made it 9 weeks and 4 days. This now explains my August 25 post-op complications, that we were totally unaware of at the time. This one in my eyes, has affected me much deeper than I could have ever imagined. In a way I still feel like I let you down. I'm sorry. I love you Adrian! XOXOXO

Out of respect for your grief I will not rate this poem. I know the poem comes from a very sad heart. May God give you great peace giving you comfort in your deep sense of loss.

As Que has already said... my prayers are with you both, may God grant you the peace, love, comfort and understanding that you need.

: ) The Packers let me down, my truck has let me down. You my love do not, and did not let me down. For whatever reason, the timing just wasn't right. It was not meant to be. For now we have 2 beautiful, adoring children that I love more than my own life, you gave those to me. Eventually if it is meant to be, God will grace us with another child. Until then we'll just keep loving each other as the family that we are. I Love you too sweetheart *hugs*

Sometimes God takes the most perfect ones early... Most sincere sympathy.

I've known this pain. Tonight you've made a man cry. I wrote one a long time ago titled "The Son I never Knew" I may post it again after reading this one.

Hi Michelle, I agree with Que, I didn't either. It is very clear this poem comes from a very sad heart. My younger sister has been thru this pain, she knows it very well too. What your hubby wrote: Is so very precious and loving. He understands. It's not your fault or his. Thank the Lord for your 2 beautiful children. Many prayers are going out for you two. Lots of hugs. May the Lord touch and help heal your hearts. Give you the strenght to make it thru your hour of need. I'll add you to my prayer list.
