Valley of Death Escape by Michele SchottelkorbI walked along the Valley of Death
(how arrogant to think I was alone!)
and noticed
the saddened souls littering the floor
reaching out
for a grain of star-dust
but, alas
their arms would not reach
could not see
beyond this life
for they forgot:
you must BE to SEE
you must SEE to BE...
...I made it to the other end
10/04/2003 Author's Note: this poem is inspired by Ashok Sharda's excellent poem "A Tragic Piece you have to BE to SEE" in his PRose-Poetry folder... it inspired me beyond belief and i felt compelled to write this... thank you, dear friend...

Posted by Ashok Sharda on 10/05/03 at 06:30 AM There's one moment which belongs to you. Which even the death can not take away from you, and that is this very moment. The moment of BEING and SEEING. Yes, you have to Be to SEE. You have to SEE to BE. To make it to the other end. All the best. And thanks. You are a kind person. |
