iv. blaze {again}

by Richard Paez

always watching for fires
i've realized:
smoke is the upward flowing tears
of the Separated-
those blown away
by passion

if i could capture
in one moment
all the heat i've ever felt
i could melt mountains
and make ageless rocks
flow like laments

it's a shame:
i've learned to smolder
instead of burn
i would like
for just one moment
to
blaze
again

Author's Note: thanks to Aiko for holding on to this for me. blaze on bright one.

Pyromatic poetry malachi. This is an introspective poem within a poem, much like the way I envision you. This one definitely goes in the book. Aiko is right, you are an abundant resource, so be careful what you wish for or we may lose you to spontaneous combustion. Peace...

'just one moment to learn or a moment that would stop for you to blaze again? Its the moment the BEING is longing for. The rest will follow.

An excellent piece, especially the second stanza (it could easily stand alone). I will have to spend much more time going through your library.

the last bit is what hits home hardest... you have quite the way with words...

Like an ember held to the chest, clutched tightly and never released, despite the burn. Magnificently intense. I agree with wait Aiko said, more 'Paezetry' is a good thing.

This is great.. The last stanza really spoke to me. I 've felt that way so many times before.. Thanx for putting it into words for me! :)

Yes. Yes. Yes. We are both the furnace and the cold wind muting the flame. +fav
