stormy visions

by Kimberly Bare

silence is simmering
in a stone cold
storm cloud

flashes of lightening
reflected in a melancholy gaze

these are turbulent times
and i find myself hushed
unable to voice my vision

peace is a notion which lies easy
on the tongue yet heavy on the heart

nothing is without cost
winds are etching the
promise of change

for change is the only promise
remaining in the wake of the storm

"peace is a notion which lies easy on the tongue yet heavy on the heart" much truth is that verse. Well done, I love the ones that have me walk away thinking. Good stuff. :) (Welcome to PPS by the way) :)

Gives the impression of important things coming, changes which may overwhelm us in the power of the storm. Well expressed and thought provoking.
