10 Things I've Learned About Me by Quinlan L GibsonPut on those rose colored glasses,
though your favourite color is blue.
Then follow the leader of no expectations
it keeps you hidden
from dissappointments cruelty.
Sexual appetite that flatters glutney.
(and for that I thank my 30's)
Healthy fantasies, and heavy fears.
Overcome the nightmares that are now
three years old.
Time bought and sold, now paid in full.
The rebirth of a crowned jewel,
who likes to paint her fingers and toes
hot pink or tempered steel.
Lipswept baby soft pastel.
Show me new. Show me beautiful.
But never, not show me.
The door of my mind has blown off it's hinges
though it's enter at your own risk.
but i'll show you the secret entrance
just look me in the eyes.
So I think I'll color my hair a soft brown.
Change of season. Change is good. 09/17/2003 Author's Note: hey! I'm a pretty cool chick! lol!

Posted by Ashok Sharda on 09/19/03 at 06:31 PM 'Show me new. Show me beautiful.
But never, not show me.' The personality seems to be suggesting to the essence. Interestingly I see the realization of the realization but no conflict. The approach sounds positive.

Posted by Bruce W Niedt on 05/28/04 at 02:36 PM Really fine work - a confident self-image - strong imagery too (like "the door of my mind has blown off its hinges") - and yes, "lipswept" is a great word. If you don't mind, I recommend some corrections: line 5, "disappointments"; line 6, "gluttony"; line 18, "its"; line 20, "I'll" |

Posted by W. Mahlon Purdin on 02/21/05 at 03:21 AM You make me laugh happy. "Show me new. Show me beautiful.
But never, not show me." How I wish the world could learn that refrain and sing it over and over. -- BP
