New Jersey Queen by Rachelle Howei can nearly hear her voice.
sweet saccharine, those preservatives
doing their job far too well.
we dance around our flirtatious nature,
and i'm giving while she takes.
the story book has ended,
but the title page is still freshly typed.
and i wonder what it would be like
for me to try again, one more time,
wonder what could come of this
while she sits in New Jersey
barely knowing my name. 09/15/2003 Posted on 09/16/2003 Copyright © 2024 Rachelle Howe
