Properly Corrected by Brian Francis
The words are there upon the wall
Terms of service and of use
Theres no excuse for me at all
Now I must pay the dues
Hold out my hand and grit my teeth
And watch the ruler fall
I wince and tense emotions seethe
But I refuse to ball
I promise, that, I will obey
The rules the gods have made
The photo shall remain unchanged
And soon the shame will fade

Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 09/16/03 at 04:44 PM I really like the tone of this, and how you take an old fashioned school punishment like being cracked on the knuckles or palms with a ruler and apply it to something much bigger like gods. Not sure though why you're being punished?

Posted by Don Coffman on 09/19/03 at 07:30 PM Hehe... well you look properly rebellious in the new one, in a 'traditional' sense, with the long hair and all. *grin* Quite an amusing poem, and here's hoping nobody gets picky with you and whacks your knuckles again.
Posted by Ashok Sharda on 09/20/03 at 04:24 AM Well, what is is always subject to laws. Its always wise to accept what is rather than trying to impose what should be. Even if one is struggling one should accept the struggle as what is. This acceptance of helplessness helps and one isn't helpless any more. You said this in your own way.
