epitaph by Rachelle Howe
your eyes were hallow,
a beacon shone once, never again.
you were my epitaph,
before they laid you low.
you were a memory
before i breathed you in.
you were my everything
and then the night began.09/06/2003
Author's Note: i saw the word "tombstone."
