gasoline addict

by Andrew S Adams

I.
going home frome one more night
where dreams havent got a hope
gasoline addict dries his tears
with the end of his own rope.
every night is repetition
every day is left to the night
one more god has broken, fallen
and one less god has gotten it right

C.
broken and denied, the words are
spoken, "we relied on faulty
dreams and schemes and lies." I never
wanted to ask you
how we got to right now
but every words my last
and wasted breath can not allow
me to ask...

II.
Why were we always inclined to think
that life would always stay the same?
every night a suicide
with all the world to blame
never did we think that
everything would pass
here and now was all we had
and here and now was lost to yesterday

C.
broken and denied, the words are
spoken, "we relied on faulty
dreams and schemes and lies." I never
wanted to ask you
how we got to right now
but every words my last
and wasted breath can not allow
me to ask...

III.
Gasoline addict dries his tears
with the end of a rope,
back from one more night of nothing,
tired of being a running joke.
and so he said his first true words
forgetting all he'd learned to say before,
"a grand sendoff of wasted breath,"
and all he said was "god, no more.."

Author's Note: a song that i'm toying with. written after listening to nirvana unplugged and viewing stone temple pilots 'creep' video. gives you kind of the idea of the sound i'm gong for.
