just the two of us by Michele Schottelkorbjust the two of us
entwined in gauze and pockets
just you and I
wash my hair, please?
just a raven and his dove
for half a fortnight
just a knight and his princess
soak up the desert with love
we shall form a bond
amidst the talcum lined streets
we shall seal our love
with kisses and treats
we shall find our shelter
amongst friends and honor
we shall break the chains
and emerge whole and unified
do I place too much
on one precious little week?
each moment is sacred
how can I not? 08/21/2003 Author's Note: we are off to Burning Man, in a few days... blessings are welcome...
