Love is an evil that dwells within
It gives you false hope and then,
Smashes you on the rocks of despair
To leave you bloody and broken there.

It makes you feel good for a while
It will even give your face a silly smile.
Then it leaves you a quivering mass
When it gets mean and kicks your ass!

It makes you forget the pain of before
So you think you will try, just once more.
Then one day comes the reality
All this time love has lied to me.

By then it is much to late
You have come to your sorry fate.
There you are on the rocks of despair
Love has left you bloody and broken there.

At that moment you rise up and swear
Never, ever, again will I care!
But love laughs at you for it's not done
All your life it will have it's fun.

And now you know the truth sets in
There's not a damn thing you can do.
All your life until the day you die
Love is going to screw you.
