For Cass and Miss M (not a poem)

by Kate Demeree

I miss you my friends, it was more than the moments we spent together chatting. It was the comradrie. Life is sometimes funny, the road we walk having hairpin turns worse than the bobbies we put in our hair.

We all grow up, but it is the growing away I think that marks us the most. You are still close in my heart and thoughts. I miss the way the Three Musketeers could gather and share the laughs and tears, somehow making life's little hurts smart a bit less, and the laughter a whole lot brighter.

Yes, we all are busy now, but I have to believe that having once gathered and connected we will again, and I look forward to seeing each of you in person. I know maybe I shouldn't be putting this out to post... but I do not care!

I Love You Both, and I miss you and I do not give a fig for who thinks this is a place for only those poems that follow a certian form... poetry is the language of the heart, since when did a heart even pause to listen to anyone telling it what it should or should not say.. and if it does..... don't believe it!

So perhaps after all this is a poem....

One that says I Love You

I miss you

I wish you well

May god bless and keep you

Until

We meet again

A wonderfully put together love letter to loving friends...who cares if it lacks meter or form? it is a poem in and of itself

friendhips seeped slowly into the soul are friendhips that will not ebb.
