Memories Rain by Kate DemereeMemories Rain
I still miss you As much now as if it were Today you went away The sofa by the hearth Empty testament blue reminder Of sunshine, half smiling eyes Asides shared by two That a flash spotlights Highlights, captures
Faded memories Packed away from sore eyes
I hear your laugh sometimes When the wind ceases to howl Between trees riotously waving green scarves To the clouded sky
A seductive rumble Weakening my knees Catching me unaware In yesterday
Blue, pinned by blue Held in beloved hands Where hello becomes good-bye Becomes I love you I love you not
Green, turns to amber, to red Falling, Falling, F A L L I N G Into Yesterday
