Crushed in One Word: Kissed

by J. P. Davies

How the tears fell
When I heard what you said to her
you typed a death knell to my heart
You said he kissed you and it felt to me
like you cheated on me
but that's impossible...
we're not even dating anymore
It felt the same though
and I cried
and cried
like I needed to all along
like I should have when I left you
like I did when you screamed
your hatred to me at my locker
and now you happily play three guys
while I try to play one girl and fail
because I love you
I can't even think about anyone else
don't you even hear me when I say it?
or do you just not care?
I fucking love you
is that not enough?
I wanted to hurt myself when I heard
but that would be weakness
and my pride streak won't let me sink
down to that level again
So I wonder now who
may kiss you today
knowing it should have been me...

Ouch! Adds new meaning to the expression "love hurts." Quite the moving poetic accounting.
