The Princess and the Pea (Brain) {Warning: Adult Language}

by Amber B

Sitting with a ghoulish grin
making my life a joke
you and your evil spiteful ways
cracking open a beer at my expense
demeaning women
selling your gold
dusting off your nose
as you poke through the trash
hoping to pick an old bone

We've aided you
and you with your yellow eyes of cowardice
who wouldn't know nice if it smacked a kiss to your cheek
you tore us down
ripped us apart
forced us to be simply civil
when civil is not even what you deserved

You had room and you took ours
creating more and more obstacles in my life
making me miserable
it was bound to happen someday
you were bound to get me one way or another

You smile with you cigarette stained teeth
eyes gleaming with more than mischief
hoping against hopes that one day I'll fuck up
the perfect daughter
the perfect neighbor
bound to get you some way or another
and I did

I got you

With little room to even breathe
I attempted to leave my house
to buy special presents
to BE the perfect daughter

And you

You saw it coming
knew I was going someplace special
and you parked it
parked it right there in my way
knew that I wouldn't be paying attention
knew I wouldn't notice your piece of shit car
sitting in my way

And you were right
I didn't notice
I wasn't paying attention
and you got the last laugh here on earth

But when you burn in the eternal fires of Hell
it'll be me who laughs last
because I AM the perfect daughter
I AM the perfect neighbor

I just had a bad day
