Safety in Silence by Lacy D Phillipshope found its native tongue in a gentle touch when no words wandered between us and love is only something we create with it in the awkward silence between fear and faith in a lull in the conversation where we imagine ourselves safe from reproach as well as praise 07/31/2003 Author's Note: I found this piece buried in a bunch of electronic files unfinnished and without a title. I wanted to revamp it and give it a proper ending, but the more I read it, the more perfect and whole it seemed just by itself.
