Her Kisses Cripple

by Max Bouillet

Her kisses cripple
and twist us into
awkward flesh groping
for substance
until she melts
and mixes with my sweat
and together
we mist the windows
and etch our names
in the fog
with trembling
fingertips
before we seep
through the floorboards
and drip
on the backs
of the lovers
below.

Prodigal poetry, Max. You've out done your molten self, to the point of subterraneal bliss. I'm jealous. Peace...

LOL! I recall years of marriage like that! Romantic and sensual.

interesting... kind of brings the lovers play into a universal space at the end when it drips down below (if you've ever wondered how many creatures on this planet may be making love just when you are). it also reminds me of a candle.. the melting kiss of fire on the wick (or one of those 'entwined lovers' candles, perhaps, heheh, a dollhouse full of them)

there is no more exquisite sight than humans in the act and art of pretzeling.

The first line says it all. You took something that could be tawdry and cheap and kept that allure but dressed it up so we still get the same sensual feeling but without the trashy aftertaste. Very nice!
