Missing You

by Amanda J Cobb

I miss sleeping next to you,
your arms around me.
I miss waking up with you.
I miss our joking
and icy 'Feet of Doom' beneath the sheets.
I miss trying to cook in your kitchen.
I miss snuggling on your couch.
I miss starting the tickle fights
and 'losing my arm privelages' as a result.
I miss how you dance to funk music.
I miss that look - you know the one.
I miss holding your hand.
I miss our goofy nicknames
and the sometimes completely random conversations.
I miss you showing up at my door.
I miss your hugs.
I miss watching you walk towards me like that.
I miss the red chef's apron you wear.
I miss all of the crazy projects you think up
and especially your mischievous grin.
I miss doing little things to make you happy.
I miss the jokes about being Barbie and Ken.
I miss people asking me how you are, and knowing.
I miss how you look at me when you say I'm beautiful.
I miss kissing you goodnight and kissing you good morning.
I miss smiling just talking about us
and just being with you.

I miss you.

Wow! Superb extension of those three words in the title. You sound so good together...what happened???
