a walk by starlight by Andrew S Adamsi walk in the world, not asking where to go,
for i will only be pointed down a road
that knows an end.
instead, i walk the routes that
have no logic; the nights
that have no day.
i walk for the moments that the starlight
is the only nessecity
to be content with life.
and walking over a troubled bridge
the water calm and the sky clear
i have no sense of direction,
nor do i have a need for it.
the city lights pollute the sky for some
but the city lights can be the stars,
if only somewhat fallen.
i can walk for these stars, but tonight
i am out in a cool dream, swiftly thinking of
any reason to feel at war, but tonight the sky
is peace.
and here it is that i should wander off the path
into the deep and troubled wood.
yet the trees provide a blanket for me,
where the stars shine over head.
and in this very moment, i am free.
i am content. 07/24/2003 Posted on 07/24/2003 Copyright © 2025 Andrew S Adams

It's lovely, taking a walk in after dark, in the starlight. Thinking and wondering. Specially with the one ya love. Peace & Joy. Jean |
