a poem from the perspective of the poem by Andrew S Adamscrush me up into four-folded-segments
where the lines meet ninety degrees from one another
and hope is just one word in a mass of far less important
'the's and 'and's and 'or's and 'a's and quotation marks.
i am equality, with emphasis put on only the words
nobody will care to read; subtle, and hidden.
i am vaguely admired and shoved in the back
from time to time, i will be taken out, shown
around and disapproved of. or approved of;
i'll never really know; i'm a poem. i am not
consciousness, i am just what i am made to be.
and as we speak, the scars are being etched in some more.
i think the last thing he wrote was,
'i think the last thing he wrote was,'.
and i will never be complete, just a work in progress
until i am locked away or shown the light of life
and if you understand me,
then i suppose i made it. 07/13/2003 Author's Note: although, i hardly feel complete; thank you to all of those who made this poem of the day. this is one of my favorites of my own, so i'm glad that it made it. a bucket of flowers to you all!
