They've Censored Q! They've Censored Q!

by Alex Smyth

They've censored Q! They've censored Q!
From screen to screen the message flew!
Sensational! Like bad news ran
The rumor bleak about this man.

Some said, "The end must be in sight-
For one to fall, so staunch, upright!"
The less kind weren't surprised- "For sure,
No mortal man could be so pure!"

Some say he spoke without remorse,
That brazen, proud he set his course.
Others swear he did not know
The seed of shame his pen would sow.

Be thankful God the HEART doeth read
When judging us, frail human seed.
If Censors, though, our fate could tell,
All Dickens fans would go to Hell!

*That Pathetic Filter caught another reference to Charles Dickens, and censored him again!
This time the culprit was Quentin!

But that cute little Pathetic Filter just SCREAMS to be lampooned!

Quite a humorous poem while still an excellent tribute to the man himself. A great read!

I had a bit of a chuckle when I saw Que's quote, now this...I'm in hysterics!...Do you suppose we could posthumously change his name to avoid further embarrasement?...Duckens perhaps?

I saw that too and thought the same! This poem left me laughing about it--yet again!

a pence for your thoughts to censor. I delight in this bravura, in this Alex defiant, nay with the dampened spirit. Hip Hip Hurrah mi lady.

Everything should be able to be lampooned. If not, what kinda of freedoms do we really have?
