Vinegar kisses
From angry lips
You hurt me
With unkind stares
Flaccid embraces
From indifferent arms
You confuse me
With biased tones
Bittersweet pinches
From accusing fingers
You gouge me
With hateful thoughts
Puncturing dialogue
From uncaring eyes
You ignore me
With stubborn images
Ice-cold responses
From unforgiving tongues
You sadden me
With blunt statements
Tainted voices
From unyielding hearts
(you love me
or so you say you do)
