Thank You Slow Hand and the Rest

by Marjorie Anne Reagan

The times in my life I was oppressed
by those who have power over me
your music saved my soul
and set my spirits free

I can cry with mmmm Ol'Slow Hand Clapton
feel joy wiht Ringo Starr
get close to my creator with
Harrison
see the worlds pain
and know I am never alone
so many people
with much more pain than I could ever dream of
All these great musicians felt what I too feel and look
what they have done

Music gives me hope
when I feel pain coming on and i always try to remember the
"Love you take is equal to the love you make"
These and many more have touched my soul through thier music
they have added so much to my life

"Elsewise", a drummer friend of mine once said....
I would have been alone and sad thinking of just myself
what a waste

when there are so many hearts that need touching
mouths and souls to feed

Without thier music in my home
I could never have seen out my own back door
or escaped being locked inside by looking out
the window
because of the tunes
seeing the world the pain joy beauty and love

Author's Note: The Bible said it first" Love One another" The Beatles paraphrased so rightly. LOVE IS ALL YOU NEED. I will believe it till the day I die. (Love and dedication)
