moments of truth by Andrew S Adamsa kiss of innocence
burning itself through their mind;
a dream has been escaped,
and all beauty has been realized.
as a shower of light, and hope
of passion and love
rests itself gently on these two souls,
as the rose petals fall
gently carress their bodies.
one can see two lovers;
and one can also choose to see
devotion.
emotion.
longing and lust, yet
a yearning for this very night
to transform to the darkest of blacks
and bathe them in peace.
so much description lingers,
but i hear no words. i see them.
the blurring of their edges has come
and suggests everything;
but this love- it is plain to the eye;
and it is just as true as you
refuse it to be.
bonds are wrapped around
hands are intertwined.
and i am breathless.
hushed. awed.
praying i will not break
this moment of truth.
they will pay no mind,
and we shall not break their
sacred
moment of truth.
their life of love;
their life of their truth. 07/09/2003 Author's Note: a poem written for cymbre to accompany this picture.
